Workplace Policy
M² Engineering promotes a respectful, ethical, and high-performance work environment grounded in scientific integrity, professional conduct, quality work, and clear communication.
Last updated: July 2026
This policy applies to employees, contractors, consultants, interns, and collaborators working with M² Engineering.
Flexible Workplace
M² Engineering operates through a flexible working model. Work may be performed remotely, on-site, or through a combination of both, depending on the role, project requirements, client obligations, security considerations, and the need for technical collaboration.
There is no universal fixed number of required on-site days. Any on-site expectations will be communicated clearly for the relevant position or project before work begins. Some roles may be fully remote, while others may require occasional travel, meetings, laboratory access, client-site work, or in-person technical collaboration.
Professional Conduct
Everyone working with M² Engineering is expected to communicate respectfully, meet agreed responsibilities, document work carefully, and maintain appropriate professional boundaries. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, retaliation, dishonesty, and abusive conduct are not accepted.
Technical disagreements should be addressed through evidence, engineering reasoning, constructive review, and professional communication.
Scientific and Engineering Integrity
Engineering conclusions must be based on appropriate physical principles, reliable data, transparent assumptions, and suitable verification. Employees and collaborators must not knowingly misrepresent calculations, simulation results, experimental evidence, project progress, qualifications, or technical limitations.
Errors, uncertainties, and limitations should be reported promptly and honestly.
Inclusion and Equal Opportunity
M² Engineering is committed to maintaining a workplace in which people are treated fairly and respectfully. Employment and project decisions are based on qualifications, technical capability, performance, business requirements, and the needs of the work.
Discrimination or harassment based on legally protected characteristics is not permitted.
Health and Safety
Anyone performing work on-site, in a laboratory, at a client facility, or around industrial equipment must follow applicable safety procedures and site-specific requirements. Unsafe conditions, incidents, and hazards should be reported promptly.
No employee or contractor is expected to perform work that presents an unreasonable or unaddressed safety risk.
Confidentiality and Data Security
Employees and collaborators must protect confidential, proprietary, client, and project information. Project files, credentials, technical data, source code, models, and communications must be handled through approved systems and shared only with authorized people.
Confidential or export-controlled information must not be uploaded to unapproved software, public AI systems, personal storage accounts, or other unauthorized platforms.
Responsible Use of AI and Software
AI tools may assist with coding, documentation, research, analysis, and workflow development, but they must not replace engineering judgment or required verification. AI-generated results must be reviewed before being used in technical work or client deliverables.
Employees and contractors must respect software licenses, intellectual-property rights, data restrictions, and client confidentiality requirements.
Communication and Availability
Flexible work requires dependable communication. Team members are expected to remain reasonably available during agreed working periods, attend required meetings, communicate delays, and maintain accurate project records.
Working hours may vary by role, location, and project, but deadlines, responsibilities, and availability expectations should be agreed in advance.
Accommodations and Workplace Concerns
M² Engineering will consider reasonable workplace accommodations in accordance with applicable requirements and the essential responsibilities of the role.
Questions or concerns regarding workplace conduct, safety, accommodations, confidentiality, or this policy may be sent to: contact@m2engineering.tech.
Concerns will be reviewed as privately and fairly as reasonably possible. Retaliation against anyone who raises a genuine concern in good faith is not permitted.
Policy Updates
This policy may be revised as M² Engineering grows or as legal, operational, client, or project requirements change.
